Rider's Hiller Five Time MAAC Male Diver of the Week

EDISON--Junior Trevor Hiller (Galloway Twp./Absegami) of the Rider University swimming and diving team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Male Diver of the Week it was announced Tuesday afternoon.

This is the fifth time this season that Hiller has been honored and the sixth time that a Rider diver has earned conference recognition.

"The fact that Trevor has been recognized five times shows that his hard work is paying off," said diving coach Eric Blevins.  "It will be exciting to see how he does at the conference championships next month."

Hiller was recognized for all competition January 21-27.

In Rider's tri-meet against Fordham and Yale this past Saturday, Hiller won the one-meter event with a score of 288.45 and was runner-up on the three-meter board with a score of 286.55.

Hiller was also recognized October 16, October 23, November 20 and January 15.

Rider competes at the MAAC Swimming and Diving championships in Buffalo, New York February 14-16.  The Bronc men are the defending conference champions with the Rider women placing runner-up in 2011-12.
