Rider hosts Iona Sunday
LAWRENCEVILLE--The Rider University softball team is back in action on Sunday when the Broncs host Iona College in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference doubleheader, beginning at 1pm at Herb and Joan Young Field.
Rider is coming off a MAAC doubleheader loss at Manhattan on Saturday.
The Broncs are led by sophomore Amanda Irving (Westminster, Md./Westminster) who is currently on a 10-game hitting streak.
Irving is batting .586 (17/29) with eight runs scored, three doubles and a triple during the streak and she is hitting .341 for the season.
Junior Kehli Washington (Lulea, Sweden/New Rochelle) is batting .364 on the season with rookie Dana Sensi (Allentown) hitting .360.
