Meier Honored by CollegeSportsMadness.com

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ--  Rider University senior forward Jennifer Meier (Sayville, NY/St. Anthony's) was named the women's soccer player of the week in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference by CollegeSportsMadness.com.

In Rider's 2-0 week Meier scored two goals and had an assist, all in Rider's 4-1 won over Mount Saint Mary's.

Meier assisted on the Rider goal that tied the game at 1-1 and the 5'3” forward scored game-winning goal that gave Rider a 2-1 lead.  She then came back and scored the insurance goal that gave Rider 3-1 lead.

In the game Meier had seven of Rider's 13 shots on goal.

An All-MAAC midfielder last year, Meier is a Preseason All-MAAC forward this year.

Meier ranks fifth at Rider in career goals (20) and career points (50).

The 3-2 Broncs travel to NJIT Sunday.
