Saint Joe’s Game on Comcast TV
The hottest ticket in town just got hotter. The Rider-Saint Joseph’s men’s basketball game is going to be televised.
So students, if you have not already done so, you better stop by Alumni Gymnasium and pick up your ticket for the game, scheduled for Monday, November 30.
The game will be sold out; it is just a matter of when.
The 7pm game against the Hawks of Philadelphia will be televised on The Comcast Network, the old CN8.
The game is also the annual Night of Champions, with all of the outstanding accomplishments by teams and individuals from the 2008-09 academic school year being honored at half time.
Rider and Saint Joseph’s were Middle Atlantic Conference rivals in the early 1970s and became East Coast Conference rivals in 1974. Saint Joseph’s left the ECC in 1982. Rider and Saint Joseph’s have met 19 times since the series began in 1941-42 with Rider winning twice, the last time in 1979-80. Rider played the 2008-09 season opener against Saint Joseph’s at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia and the score was tied 30-30 at half time before the Broncs lost 69-57.
The Rider-Saint Joseph’s game is one of at least six Rider games to be televised this year.
