Online Auction to Benefit Rider Athletics in conjunction with the Golf Gala

Rider University Athletics will hold its 12th annual silent auction during the 2010 Golf Gala on September 13. It will feature an online auction of a one-year membership to Old York CC at Chesterfield — courtesy of Ed Eget.  All proceeds from the auction will benefit Rider's 20 NCAA Division I athletics programs and more than 300 student-athletes by supplementing the general operating budget for the athletics department.

Beginning September 4 at 7:30pm ET, bidders can access the auction page by visiting the official website of Rider Athletics – http://www.gobroncs.com – and clicking on the auction link in the box on the right side . Those interested will be allowed to post bids for the 10 days prior to the Golf Gala event and on the actual day of the outing as well. Computers will be set up at Olde York CC at Chesterfield on September 13 to allow Golf Gala participants easy access to Rider's auction page throughout the day's activities. Bidding will conclude at 7:30 p.m. ET on September 13 and the winning bid will be announced during the dinner portion of the event. Bidders need not be present at the Golf Gala to win! Interested parties can bid from their home, office or anywhere they have access to the Internet.

The one-year membership to Old York CC at Chesterfield, valued at $11,000, includes $5,000 for the annual membership dues and 1/3 of the initiation towards a full membership if the winner chooses to join. The opening bid will be posted at $3,000. Bidders can visit frequently to check on the status and/or increase their bid.
