2015-16 is Hiller’s first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Rider swimming and diving team after graduating from Rider with a degree in Marine Science in 2014.
“Trevor excelled at Rider on the boards and was tested and proven as one of the best divers in the conference during his career as an athlete at Rider,” said head coach Steve Fletcher. “We are grateful that he wants to give back to the program with his passion for Rider Swimming & Diving.”
As a senior, helped Rider to a MAAC championship and was named MAAC Diver of the Week three times while finishing 31st out of 44 with a score of 263.10 on the three-meter board and 33rd out of 46 on the one-meter board with a score of 236.75 at the NCAA Zone ‘A’ meet.
As a junior, Hiller was a 2013 NCAA Zone ‘A’ qualifier and placed 25th on the three-meter and 29th on the one-meter while earning MAAC Diver of the Week five times and was named the 2013 Rider University Swimming and Diving Most Valuable Diver
At MAACs in 2013, Hiller finished first in the one-meter dive (294.40) and second in the three-meter dive (260.40) at the 2013 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships, earning MAAC Diver of the Meet honors as Rider won the team title and he finished second in the one-meter dive (295.95) and sixth in the three-meter dive at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Swimming & Diving Open Championships.
As a sophomore, Hiller placed 18th in the one-meter finals at the 2012 NCAA Zones and scored 272.85 in the three-meter preliminaries at the 2012 NCAA Zones
In 2012, Hiller was named MAAC Diver of the Week for the last week in October and scored a season high 320.90 at the meet against Rutgers and Fordham and he logged a score of 279.20 at the 2012 ECAC Championships.
As a Rider rookie, Hiller finished fifth in the one-meter dive and eighth on the three-meter dive at the MAACs and finished 10th on the three-meter dive at ECACs.
