Field Hockey
At Bryant sophomore Sandra Penas (Barcelona, Spain) scored two goals and junior Marlaine Schneider (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) had two assists. Senior Virginia Egusquiza (Getxo, Spain) had a goal and an assist. At Siena Marlaine Schneider had two goals and an assist. Virginia Egusquiza had a goal and two assists and junior Gabby Burgo (Collingswood) had a goal and an assist. At Lehigh Virginia Egusquiza scored three goals and was named the NEC Player of the Week. Sandra Penas added two goals and an assist. Senior Megan Pisani (Plainsboro/WWP-North) had a goal and an assist. At Villanova Marlaine Schneider, Gabby Burgo and junior Ellie LaBar (Oaklyn/Collingswood) scored.  At Lock Haven Marlaine Schneider had a goal and an assist.

At Canisius junior Abi Cottam (Leominster, England/Ludlow) compiled three goals and an assist and junior Claire Thompson (East Greenwich, R.I./E. Greenwich) scored twice. Sophomore Bridgette Bartkowski (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) had two assists. At Loyola Broncs suffered first loss in a month. Against Holy Cross Claire Thompson took a pass from Abi Cottam and scored. Against Delaware State junior Demi Mello (Mattituck, N.Y./Mattituck) scored in overtime. Abi Cottam gave Rider a 3-2 lead with her eighth goal of the season and assisted on the game-winner.

Volleyball
Against Loyola freshman Ashlee Amatulli (Menifee, Calif./Temecula Valley) had 20 assists and 10 digs, sophomore Bridget Sheerin (Oak Lawn, Ill./Marist) had 13 kills, eight assists and seven digs, making only one error, freshman Shelbie Stannard (Alvin, Texas/Alvin) added 16 digs and freshman Jaclyn Webber (Anaheim, Calif./Canyon) compiled 14 digs and eight kills. At Fairfield junior Brittany Gajewski (Whitehouse Station/Hunterdon Central Regional) had 22 assists with Ashlee Amatulli adding 17 assists and nine digs. At Iona Jaclyn Webber had 16 digs and 16 kills. Against La Salle Jaclyn Webber had 18 digs and 17 kills.

Cross Country
At Lehigh's Paul short Run senior Heather Giovagnoli (Royersford, PA/Spring Ford) covered the 6,000m course in 22:30 to finish 17th overall and freshman Anthony Dentino (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) again finished first among the Broncs, 14th overall, covering the 8,000m course in 26:05. Senior Michael Lindner (Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central placed second among Broncs and 34th overall among the 382 runners in 26:23.

M. Soccer
At Manhattan junior Dave Benavidez (Peoria, Ill/Richwoods) scored 2:55 into the second half, gathering a deflected ball and putting it in the top of the net for the only goal of the game. Junior goalkeeper Matt Perrella (North Brunswick, N.J./N. Brunswick) started for the second straight game and made four saves for the shutout. At Saint Peter's Benavidez took a pass from junior Ryan Fitzgerald (Yardville, N.J./Steinert) and scored his second goal of the season  just 4:03 into the game to give Rider (2-8-1, 1-2 MAAC) the only goal it needed. Junior Krishna Nathu (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) scored his first career goal with 22 minutes left on a breakaway for the insurance goal. Against Fairfield junior Dan Friga (Clifton, N.J./Passaic County Tech) scored twice, giving Rider leads of 1-0 and 2-1 and junior Brenden Noesges (Freehold, N.J./Freehold Township) had two assists. Against Iona junior Dave Benavidez (Peoria, Ill/Richwoods) scored to tie the score at 1-1.

Tennis
Against Philly U. junior Ryan Carpenter  (Sahuarita, Ariz./Sahuarita) had a come from behind three-set win at sixth singles, prevailing 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.  Carpenter also teamed up with junior Milo Milosovici (Florence) for an 8-2 win at third doubles. Freshman Steve Brand (Forty Fort, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) won his third match of the season with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at fourth singles and junior John Spellman (Toms River/Toms River HS South) won for the second time this fall, recording a 6-4, 7-5 win at fifth singles. Brand and junior Drew Laverty (Mount Royal/Kingsway Regional) won 8-5 at second doubles. Against Siena junior Mike Gershon (East Brunswick) and junior Milo Milosovici (Florence) won at third doubles. For the Rider women against the Saints, freshman Michelle Caravaglio (Manalapan/Freehold) won at third singles. Against Monmouth junior Marly Roche (Sussex/High Point Regional) won at first singles and teamed up with senior Tricia Ashmore (Sparta) for a win at first doubles. Michelle Caravaglio  and senior Danielle White (Reading, Pa./Reading) won singles and doubles. At Chestnut Hill sophomore Kim Leder (Sicklerville/Timber Creek) took her sixth set singles match to a third set tiebreaker before eventually falling 6-3, 4-6, 10-6.

Golf
At Cornell on Sunday senior Chris Wolak (Issaquah, Wash./Hopkinton) and sophomore James Buttermark (Staten Island, NY/Monsignor Farrell) each shot an 81. Wolak finished the tournament in 60th place among the 75 golfers. Buttermark and freshman Luke Liddell (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) tied for 66th overall.
