SOUTH ORANGE--Representatives from the Rider University women's cross country team will be honored on Sunday, January 22 at the National Girls and Women in Sports Day luncheon hosted by Seton Hall University.
The Bronc cross country team is being recognized by the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW) with the team academic award for fall sports.

"I am really proud of the academic accomplishments of the team," said head coach Bob Hamer. "They are committed to academics and athletics and they continue to reflect what it is to be a student-athlete. They are really great young women."
Representing Rider along with coach Hamer will be junior Nicole Tassello (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern) who has compiled a 3.90 grade point average as an Elementary Education/Psychology major.
The event will be held at Seton Hall University in the Richard Regan Recreation and Athletics Center and will begin at 12:00pm with a light lunch being served.
