at Moravian's Greyhound Invitational-Day One
BETHETHEM, Pa.--The Rider University men's and women's track and field teams are competing at the Greyhound Invitational hosted by Moravian College Friday and Saturday.
After day one for the Rider men, junior George Osti (Union) was sixth in the javelin throw, reaching (35.52m). Osti also reached 49.24m in the hammer throw.
For the Rider women, sophomore Sydney Grimes (West Orange) threw 36.05m in the hammer throw, freshman Andrea McKenna (Parlin/St. John Vianney) reached 30.40m in the javelin throw and freshman Aspen Weber (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane HS) threw 34.11m in the javelin.
Also for the Rider men, junior Nick Weiss (Nanuet, N.Y./Nanuet) reached 43.83m in the hammer throw and sophomore Joe Vicini (Millstone/Notre Dame) threw 44.88m in the hammer.
Final places in the competition will be announced after the competition concludes on Saturday.
