-Rider and Saint Peter’s are meeting for the 63rd time, with the Peacocks owning a 44-18 lead in the series history. Of late, the Broncs have had success, sweeping the regular-season series last year and taking the first meeting between the two teams in 2016-17.

- In the first meeting, a strong defensive effort led Rider to a 56-43 victory in Jersey City. The Bronc defense set the tone early, holding the Peacocks scoreless on their first five possessions of the contest and limiting the hosts to less than 10 points in the second and third quarters. Rider forced 21 turnovers and held Saint Peter’s to just 28.8 percent (15-52) shooting.

- Last time out, Rider used a second-half surge to race past Manhattan at home. The Broncs erased a four-point halftime deficit thanks to outscoring the Jaspers, 22-13, in the third quarter. Rider also opened the final quarter on a 16-0 run to put the game out of reach.

- For the first time in program history, the Rider University women’s basketball team was named to the CollegeInsider.com Women’s Mid-Major Top-25 Poll as announced by the committee on Tuesday, January 10. The CollegeInsider.com Women’s Mid-Major Top-25 is now in its seventh season of existence and is voted on by a panel of 31 coaches from across the country.

- Rider is 6-1 on the road in conference play this season, highlighted by a pair of one-point wins against Canisius and Siena. The Broncs have also scored double-digit triumphs versus Manhattan, Niagara, Marist and Saint Peter’s. The team had won six straight away from Lawrenceville in league play before Saturday’s setback.

- Rider is 12-1 when leading at halftime this winter. They had won their first 11 games before the Fairfield loss on January 14. The Broncs second conference of the season when trailing at halftime came last time out versus Manhattan.

- Two weeks ago, Robin Perkins sank a free throw at Siena for her 1,000th point at Rider. She is the 20th player in program history to reach the milestone. She currently has 1,101 points as a Bronc and leads the MAAC in scoring with 17.0 points per game.

- Julia Duggan recorded her team-leading sixth double-double of the season against Fairfield. She scored a season-high 21 points on 6-of-12 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds. Duggan also hit all nine of her free-throw attempts against the Stags. She has posted double-doubles in four of her last six MAAC games. No other Rider player has recorded a double-double in 2016-17.

- Rider currently ranks first in the MAAC in field-goal percentage (.428), three-point field-goal percentage (.338) and three-point field-goal percentage defense (.277). The Broncs are second in the league in scoring offense (67.8), scoring margin (+4.1) and field-goal percentage defense (.380).
