Broncs wrap up play at Wildcat Invitational

MALVERN, PA – The Rider University men’s golf team wrapped up play at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Villanova at White Manor Country Club Tuesday afternoon. Four of the five Broncs in the line-up shot either 75 or 76 on the day as Rider carded a combined 302 on the day, 10 strokes better than their Day 1 score, to finish 18th out of 19 teams.   

Seniors Parker Mann (Blauvelt, NY/Tappan Zee [Seton Hall]) and Aaron Simone (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) each shot 75 on the day, while senior Sam DiGaetano (Titusville, NJ/Hopewell Valley Central) and redshirt sophomore Eder Moreno (Madrid, Spain/Lander/Santa Helena) carded 76’s.

• DiGaetano led the Broncs with a two-day score of a nine-over 151. Mann and Moreno each finished at 154.  
• The Broncs finished a stroke behind fellow MAAC member Manhattan for 17th, while hOURglass rival Monmouth finished two strokes back in 19th. 
• DiGaetano, Mann and Moreno each birdied a pair of holes on the day. 

UP NEXT
The Broncs take part in the Lafayette Golf Invitational at Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown, PA, this coming Sunday and Monday.
