What You Need to Know
- Rider opens its final homestand of 2017 this week, welcoming in-state foe Seton Hall on Wednesday in non-conference action before hosting Monmouth this weekend for a three-game Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) series.

- Last weekend, Marist took two of three from Rider in Poughkeepsie in league play.

- With one weekend of conference play left on their schedule, the Broncs sit in tie for sixth-place with a 10-11 record.

- On Wednesday, Seton Hall topped the Broncs, 9-0, in non-conference action. After allowing nine runs over the first three innings, the Rider bullpen closed out the game with six scoreless innings.

- Earlier this season, Rider played to its first tie since 1995. The Broncs ended their non-conference tilt at Princeton knotted at seven after nine innings. The game was called due to darkness. Rider has just three ties in the last 25 years.

- For the first time in program history, the Broncs played a game in the state of New Jersey in the month of February, defeating Lafayette, 2-0, at home.

- Earlier this season, Kyle Johnson was honored as College Sports Madness MAAC Player of the Week. It marked the first time in his young career that he has earned recognition for his play on the field. Last weekend he hit .444 (4-for-9) with a 5.45 on-base percentage, one steal and one run scored.

- The same week that Johnson earned his accolade; junior starting pitcher Nick Margevicius was named the MAAC Pitcher of the Week. It marked the first time this spring that Margevicius has earned the accolade and the second time in his career. As a freshman during the spring of 2015 he was once tabbed as the MAAC Rookie of the Week. Since then, Margevicius has earned the accolade two more times as well as being honored on the College Sports Madness MAAC Player of the Week.

- Other Broncs to earn weekly accolades this season are Tecco (College Sports Madness MAAC Player of the Week), Lee Lipinski (MAAC Player of the Week), freshman Pete Soporowski (MAAC Rookie of the Week) and freshman starting pitcher John Yocum (MAAC Rookie of the Week).

- On Tuesday, it was announced that Yocum was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. He closed out a weekend series at Marist with an impressive outing for the Broncs. Yocum earned his third career victory thanks to tossing 6.2 innings and allowing just one earned run. He scattered six hits and matched a career-high with eight strikeouts. The win was his second in MAAC play this season and it also marked his third quality start of the spring. Yocum started the day off strong against the Red Foxes, striking out the side in the first.

- This season, Margevicius is 5-3 with a 2.41 ERA and a team-high 65 strikeouts in 71.0 innings pitched. Out of the bullpen, Josh Sharik has made a team-high 26 appearances. Also out of the pen, Jordan Silverman is second on the team with a 3.57 ERA in 22.2 innings of work.

- Offensively, three Bronc starters are hitting over .280, led by Tyler Kaiser at .297. Kaiser leads the team in home runs (6), extra-base hits (17), triples (3), RBIs (32), total bases (75) and slugging percentage (.517). Lipinski checks in at .286 this spring. He is one of five Broncs with 20 or more runs batted in. Johnson is the other Rider player batting over .280 this spring, hitting .294 with 26 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. He also has a team-high 50 hits, while Harrison McClure has scored a team-best 28 runs.

- Earlier this season, both Lipinski and Kaiser recorded their 100th career hits.
