Was a star pitcher and infielder at G.A.R and was named to the PA All-State team...owned the highest batting average in his league...was named to the All-District all-star team as a junior...during the summer was an American Legion All-East all-star...versatile enough to play seven positions...as a junior batted .516 with 32 hits, 29 RBI and 25 runs scored in 17 games, and was 2-0 on the mound with a 1.65 earned run average...earned Second Team All-League honors in basketball and was a conference all-star...a member of the National Honor Society...Accounting major.
