Field Hockey
Against Lock Haven sophomore Megan Pisani (Plainsboro/West Windsor-Plainsboro North) scored with 1:35 left in the second overtime to give Rider the NEC regular season title. The goal was her 21st, tying the Rider single season record. Against Siena Pisani scored three times. Sophomore Virginia Egusquiza (Getxo, Spain) was named the Rider Athlete of the Month for October.

Against Manhattan in the MAAC Tournament Rider, the eighth seed, lost to the ninth seed, Manhattan, just one week after defeating the Lady Jaspers 4-1 at Rider. Six Broncs were named All-Academic.

Against Iona Rider out-shot the 22nd ranked Gaels 16-10, including 11-5 in the second half, but lost on a penalty kick. Against Fairfield freshman Brandon Sebastian (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Twp.) started and scored his first collegiate goal with a 20-yard strike off of an assist from junior Andrew Cotes (Selden, N.Y./Newfield).

Against Niagara junior Amanda Piccolini (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) had 16 assists. Against Canisius junior Katelyn Thompson (Tucson, Ariz./Catalina Foothills) had 12 kills and six digs. Senior Amy Jeary (Depew, N.Y./St. Mary's) added 10 digs and Amanda Piccolini compiled 31 assists.

At the MAAC Championships junior Christian Gonzalez (Somerset/Franklin Twp.) finished 12th overall among the 127 runners to earn All-MAAC honors, covering the 8K course in 26:49.3. Junior Michael Soroko (Kinnelon) was right behind him in 13th place also earning All-MAAC honors, finishing in 26:56.9. Junior Chelsea Callan (Hazlet/Raritan) finished 14th among the 121 runners to earn All-MAAC honors, covering the 6K course in 24:26.7.

Against Marist junior Brianna Burns (Chestnut Ridge, NY/Spring Valley) won the 200 free (1:54.44), the 50 free (24.87) and the 100 free (53.29) and swam on the pool record setting 400 free relay (3:34.74). Senior Kellyanne Tomasula (Sussex/Vernon Twp.) won the 100 backstroke (56.81), re-setting her own Coppola Pool record. She also won the 100 butterfly (59.34), the 200 individual medley (2:10.66) and swam on the record setting 400 free relay. freshman Brian Molloy (Toms River/Toms River East) won the 1,000 free (9:55.42), the 200 free (1:45.56) and the 500 free (4:46.66). Freshman Johnny Funk (Las Vegas, Nev./SE Career and Tech) won the 100 backstroke (52.56) and the 200 back (1:55.25) and swam on the winning 200 medley relay. Senior Scott Player (Chino Hills, CA/Ruben S. Ayala) won the 50 free (21.76) and the 100 free (48.20). Senior Amanda Burke (Churchville, PA/William Tennent) won both the 3-meter dive (288.75) and the 1-meter dive (318.75).
