Senior Ryan Thompson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) compiled 23 points and seven assists to lead Rider to an exhibition win over Division II West Chester. Rider led 39-27 early in the second half before going on a 12-2 run, five points by Thompson, the Preseason MAAC Player of the Year, to take a 51-29 lead with 14:27 left to play. Thompson made eight of 10 shots from the field, including four of five three-point attempts. Rider sophomore Brandon Penn (Philadelphia, Pa./Paul Robeson) added 13 points and nine rebounds.

Sophomore Sarah Homan (Upper Darby, Pa./Delco Christian) compiled 10 points and 11 rebounds in exhibition win over West Chester. Trailing 40-36 with 11:24 remaining in the game, Rider went on a 16-4 run, eight points from sophomore Ali Heller (Boca Raton, Fla./St. Andrews) to give the Broncs the lead for good at 52-44 with 5:59 left in the contest. Heller finished with 13 points off the bench.

Against 17th ranked Lehigh senior Michael Kessler (Randallstown, MD/Owings Mills) won at 149. Kessler moved down a weight class this year and began the season ranked first in the Colonial Athletic Association and 12th in the nation. Senior Ed Bordas (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central) lost to the sixth ranked heavyweight in the nation 5-2. Bordas trailed 3-2 with 10 seconds left and went for a takedown for the win before losing. Junior Rob Morrison (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff), who red-shirted last season, lost in overtime.

At Lehigh junior Brianna Burns (Chestnut Ridge, NY/Spring Valley) won the 200 free (1:55.77), the 50 free (24.82) and the 100 free (53.26) and senior Kellyanne Tomasula (Sussex/Vernon Twp.) won the 100 back (57.34), the 200 backstroke (2:07.19) and the 100 'fly (58.81). Senior Amanda Burke (Churchville, PA/William Tennent) won both the 1-meter dive (272.02) and the 3-meter dive (251.40). Freshman Kelly O'Connor (Beverly, Mass./Beverly) won the 200 butterfly (2:08.49) and the 400 individual medley (4:35.04) and freshman Addie Oswald (Henderson, Nev./Green Valley) won the 1,000 free (10:34.4). For the Rider men, senior Paul Apostolakis (Brooklyn, NY/Fort Hamilton) won both the 1-meter dive (309.15) and the 3-meter dive (283.80) and freshman Johnny Funk (Las Vegas, Nev./SE Career and Tech) won the 200 backstroke (1:54.42) and the 400 individual medley (4:10.10). Senior Scott Player (Chino Hills, CA/Ruben S. Ayala) won the 50 free (21.73) and freshman Brian Molloy (Toms River/Toms River East) won the 1,000 free (9:48.83).

At Iona junior Katelyn Thompson (Tucson, Ariz./Catalina Foothills) had 13 kills, junior Kristy Love (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) had 11 kills and junior Amanda Piccolini (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) had 32 assists, five digs and five kills. Against Saint Peter's senior Brittany Hayes (Mitchellville, Md./Elizabeth Seton) compiled 10 kills and six assists. Senior Amy Jeary (Depew, N.Y./St. Mary's) had a match-high 24 digs, leading four Broncs with 'double-digits' in digs.

At the MAAC Championships junior Christian Gonzalez (Somerset/Franklin Twp.) finished 12th overall among the 127 runners to earn All-MAAC honors, covering the 8K course in 26:49.3. Junior Michael Soroko (Kinnelon) was right behind him in 13th place also earning All-MAAC honors, finishing in 26:56.9. Junior Chelsea Callan (Hazlet/Raritan) finished 14th among the 121 runners to earn All-MAAC honors, covering the 6K course in 24:26.7.

Against Monmouth in the NEC semifinals senior Erin McGinniss (Newton/Kittatinny Regional) scored her third goal of the year off an assist from freshman Marlaine Schneider (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) to give the Broncs a 1-0 lead. Monmouth answered two minutes into the second half and scored the game-winner 11 minutes into overtime.

At Saint Peter's freshman Sam Kotowski (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton) took a pass from senior Cameron Bertel (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) and scored with 19 seconds left in the first overtime period for the game-winner. Freshman goalkeeper Matt Perrella (North Brunswick, N.J./N. Brunswick) made five saves for the shutout and finished his rookie season with a record of 4-5. At Manhattan Rider took a 2-1 lead when senior Nico Tramontana (Vineland, N.J./Sacred Heart), who was moved from his forward position to the back, scored his team-high fifth goal of the season. Sophomore Sal Lubrano (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) had two assists. Freshman Billy Voutsinas (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) and freshman Sam Kotowski (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton) scored also scored.

Against Manhattan in the MAAC Tournament Rider, the eighth seed, lost to the ninth seed, Manhattan, just one week after defeating the Lady Jaspers 4-1 at Rider. Six Broncs were named All-Academic.
