M. Basketball
At Mississippi State sophomore Novar Gadson (Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram) compiled 21 points and 11 rebounds and junior Mike Ringgold (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) added 21 points. Holding a 59-55 lead, Rider went on an 11-3 run, six points by senior Ryan Thompson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape), to take a 70-58 lead with 9:20 left to play. Thompson finished with 16 points. A three-point field goal by Gadson gave Rider a 75-63 lead with 6:33 left to play. Against Lehigh Gadson compiled 20 points and seven rebounds and Thompson added 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Rider made a team-record 16 three-point field goals. Holding a 60-55 lead, Rider went on an 11-2 run, six points by Gadson, to take a 71-57 lead with 4:16 left to play.

Against Seton Hall junior Cintella Spotwood (Trenton/Trenton Central) scored 14 points. The score was tied 40-40 with 12 minutes left. Sophomore Sarah Homan (Upper Darby, Pa./Delco Christian) had 13 points and seven rebounds and senior Tammy Meyers (Willingboro) added 10 points and three assists. At Colgate Meyers had 15 points and 11 rebounds and senior Amanda Sepulveda (Perth Amboy) also scored 15.

At Binghamton senior heavyweight Ed Bordas (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central) won his weight class, winning all five bouts. Freshman 174 Jim Resnick (Media, PA/Penncrest) finished runner-up.   Junior 165 Rob Morrison (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff) placed third, senior 174 Mike Ward (Mayfield, Ohio/Mayfield Village) placed fourth and junior 141 Matt Bradley (Jackson Memorial) placed fourth.

Against La Salle and Delaware freshman Johnny Funk (Las Vegas, Nev./SE Career and Tech) won the 100 backstroke (52.33), the 100 butterfly (51.58) and the 200 backstroke (1:52.30). Freshman Brian Molloy (Toms River/Toms River East) won the 200 freestyle (1:45.30) and the 500 free (4:46.15) and senior Paul Apostolakis (Brooklyn, NY/Fort Hamilton) won both the 1-meter (322.25) and the 3-meter (276.90) dives. For the Rider women, senior Amanda Burke (Churchville, PA/William Tennent) won both the 1-meter (291.8) and the 3-meter (274.30) dives and senior Kellyanne Tomasula (Sussex/Vernon Twp.) won the 200 backstroke (2:06.89) and the 200 individual medley (2:08.77). Junior Brianna Burns (Chestnut Ridge, NY/Spring Valley) won the 200 freestyle (1:54.56), junior Raquel Riestra (Plainsboro/W.W. P. North) won the 100 freestyle (53.12) and junior Jennifer Sullivan (Rochester, NY/Gates Chili) won the 100 backstroke (57.25).

Cross Country
The Rider women were 20th of 27 teams and the Rider men were 22nd of 28 teams at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships, hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Saturday. For the Rider men, junior Christian Gonzalez (Somerset/Franklin Twp.) placed 28th of 196 runners, covering the 10,000 meter course in 33:00. For the Rider women, junior Chelsea Callan (Hazlet/Raritan) placed 72nd of 190 runners, covering the 6,000 meter course in 23:37. Also for the Rider women, freshman Victoria Lima (Westerly, RI/Westerly) was 108th in 24:14, senior Kelsey Kohler (Southampton, PA/Saint Basil's Academy) placed 112th in 24:18, freshman Jillian Shutt (Lawrenceville, Pa./Williamson) was 127th in 24:35, sophomore Heather Giovagnoli (Royersford, PA/Spring Ford) placed 133rd in 24:43 and junior Ashley O'Brien (Edison/John P. Stevens) was 162nd in 25:59. Also for the Rider men, sophomore Michael Linder (Whitehouse Station/Hunterdon Central) was 118th in 35:05, senior Robert McCullough (Plymouth Meeting, PA/La Salle) was 122nd in 35:14, junior Michael Soroko (Kinnelon) was 132nd in 35:35, freshman Sean Donohue (Cliffwood Beach/Matawan) finished 136th in 35:47, freshman Sean McCullough (Plymouth Meeting, PA/La Salle) was 181st in 38:17 and senior Phillip Capaldi (Woxal, PA/Souderton) was 183rd in 39:59

Against Marist in the season finale junior Kristy Love (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) had 13 kills and four digs and junior Katelyn Thompson (Tucson, Ariz./Catalina Foothills) had 10 kills and six digs. Junior Amanda Piccolini (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) had 32 assists and seven digs with senior Amy Jeary (Depew, N.Y./St. Mary's) compiling 25 digs.  Jeary ends her Bronc career as the Rider record holder in digs with 1,830.

Against Monmouth senior Erin McGinniss (Newton/Kittatinny Regional) scored her third goal of the year off an assist from freshman Marlaine Schneider (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) to give the Broncs a 1-0 lead. Monmouth answered two minutes into the second half and scored the game-winner in overtime.

At Saint Peter's freshman Sam Kotowski (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton) scored game-winner on assist from senior Cameron Bertel (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township). Freshman goalkeeper Matt Perrella (North Brunswick, N.J./N. Brunswick) made five saves. At Manhattan Rider took a 2-1 lead when senior Nico Tramontana (Vineland, N.J./Sacred Heart) scored his team-high fifth goal. Sophomore Sal Lubrano (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) had two assists. Freshman Billy Voutsinas (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) and freshman Sam Kotowski (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton) also scored.
