M. Basketball
At Manhattan junior Mike Ringgold (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) won the game with a tip-in with 6.2 seconds left. Junior Justin Robinson (London, England/Blair Academy) compiled 17 points and four assists to lead Rider. Trailing 60-56, Rider out-scored Manhattan 9-4 over the final 4:16 of the game, including a basket by Robinson with 1:06 left that cut the Jasper lead to 64-63. Trailing 49-37, Rider went on a 17-4 run, six points by senior Ryan Thompson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape), to take a 54-53 lead with 8:37 left to play. That was Rider's first lead since 4-2. Thompson finished with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists in 40 minutes of action. Rider made seven of 10 three-point field goals in the second half and out-scored the Jaspers 47-30 over the final 20 minutes and 1.1 seconds. The Broncs scored five points in the final 1.1 seconds of the first half, as Thompson made a pair of foul shots and Robinson stole the inbounds pass and made a three-pointer at the half time buzzer. Ringgold finished with nine points and six rebounds and sophomore Novar Gadson (Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram) compiled 14 points and 13 rebounds in 30 minutes of action.

W. Basketball
At Saint Peter's senior Amanda Sepulveda (Perth Amboy/Hun) had 12 points, all from three-point range. At Manhattan freshman Caitlin Bopp (Baltimore, Md./Inst. of Notre Dame) had her third career 'double-double' with 10 points and 13 rebounds and was named the Rider Athlete of the Month for December. Sepulveda dished out five assists and is now 14th on the all-time assist list at Rider with 239. At undefeated Syracuse Sepulveda scored 15 points, tying a career-high with five three-pointers. Bopp finished with nine points, 14 rebounds and two blocks.

Wrestling
Rider won two of three at the ODU Quad, including a victory over Purdue. Senior Ed Bordas (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central), ranked 17th in the nation, freshman Zac Cibula (Luxenburg, Wis./Casco), senior Michael Kessler (Randallstown, MD/Owings Mills), ranked 20th in the nation and sophomore Jimmy Kirchner (Somerville) all went 3-0 on the day. Kessler improved to 8-1 in duals. Bordas improved to a team-best 19-6 overall, 6-2 in duals. Sophomore Tyler Smith (Phillipsburg, N.J./Belvidere), ranked 16th in the nation, was 2-1 at ODU, defeating the top ranked 197 in the CAA. At Midlands Bordas and junior 165 Rob Morrison (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) and sophomore 133 Jimmy Kirchner (Somerville) each won three of five matches.

Senior Amanda Burke (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) placed fifth in the finals of the one-meter competition with a score of 271.15 and 15th on the three-meter board with a score of 255.60 at the 2010 Diving Invitational hosted by the University of Georgia. Burke finished only 2.50 points out of second place on the one-meter board.  Kara Salamone from the University of Florida won with a score of 285.70.  Divers from Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia, Navy, Iowa State, Penn State, Drexel, SMU, East Carolina and Rider competed at the three-day event.

At Princeton's New Year Invite senior Marcellus Manning (Richland/Buena) was second in the 60 hurdles (8.34) and freshman David Hightower (Easton, Pa./Easton) was third (8.38). Senior Alicia Price (Voorhees/Eastern) was second in the shot put (42'00"). Senior Brandon Wolf (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) was fourth in the weight throw (52'6.5"). Junior Shaylah Counts (Newark/Malcolm Shabazz) ran a personal best 7.96 seconds in the 60 with freshman Mia Riley (West Caldwell/James Caldwell) running a personal best 7.97.
