M. Basketball
At Saint Peter's senior Ryan Thompson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) scored 21 points, 18 in the second half. Junior Mike Ringgold (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) added 17 points, 15 in the second half. Holding a 54-49 lead, Rider out-scored SPC 7-3, all seven points by Thompson, to take a 61-52 lead with 7:35 left to play. Rider out-scored SPC 8-4 to start the second half, six points by Ringgold, to take a 39-30 lead. Trailing 15-10, Rider went on a 16-4 run, seven points by junior Jhamar Youngblood (Elizabeth, N.J./St. Patrick's), to take a 26-19 lead with 3:00 left in the first half, and Rider led 31-26 at the half despite being out-rebounded 23-15. Junior Justin Robinson (London, England/Blair Academy) added 11 points and tied his career high with eight assists. Against Fairfield Justin Robinson scored on a driving layup with 4.8 seconds left in the second half to tie the score at 71-71, sending the game into overtime. Robinson finished with 15 points. Ryan Thompson scored 18 points. Sophomore Novar Gadson (Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram) added 10 points and eight rebounds, including four points in overtime and a three-pointer with 3:45 left in regulation to cut the lead to 66-65.

W. Basketball|
Against Loyola freshman Caitlin Bopp (Baltimore, Md./Inst. of Notre Dame) had 15 points and 14 rebounds and senior Amanda Sepulveda (Perth Amboy/Hun) had 15 points and eight rebounds. Trailing 51-40 with 11:19 left in the game, Rider went on a 13-4 run, five points by Sepulveda, getting to within 55-53 with 4:30 remaining. Junior Cintella Spotwood (Trenton/Trenton Central) got the Broncs within two again, hitting her second three-pointer of the game at the 3:52 mark.  Spotwood had 12 points and sophomore Sarah Homan (Upper Darby, Pa./Delco Christian), a MAAC All-Rookie selection last season, had 11 points, three rebounds and three blocks in 15 minutes off the bench. At Marist Sepulveda finished with team-high 12 points and senior Stephanie Wisniewski (Levittown, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) had seven rebounds.

Wrestling
Against 9-time defending champion Hofstra sophomore Tyler Smith (Phillipsburg, N.J./Belvidere) was leading 2-0 when he won by injury default to give Rider an 18-16 lead.  Smith is ranked first in the CAA and 29th in the nation in the Coaches' Poll. In his last home dual meet senior Ed Bordas (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central) won in the final bout for the final score. Bordas, ranked first in the CAA and 19th in the nation in the NCAA Coaches' Poll, the fourth ranked heavyweight in the conference. Rider freshman Jim Resnick (Media, Pa./Penncrest) won by tech fall to cut the lead to 13-12. Senior Michael Kessler (Randallstown, MD/Owings Mills) won a major decision in his last dual meet in Alumni Gym to give Rider a 7-6 lead. Kessler (20-9 overall, 5-0 CAA), ranked first in the CAA and 27th in the nation in the Coaches' Poll, now has 94 career wins. Rider junior Matt Bradley (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) won at 141 to get Rider on the board.

Seniors Amanda Burke (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) placed fifth and Paul Apostolakis (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fort Hamilton) placed 11th in the quarterfinals competed at the 2010 USA Diving Winter National Championships.

Track & Field
At the Lafayette Winter Games senior Kelsey Kohler (Southampton, PA/Saint Basil Academy) broke a Rider record and placed fifth in the 3,000m (10:24.17), a record that stood since 2002. For the Rider men, junior Michael Soroko (Kinnelon) won the mile in an IC4A qualifying time of 4:10.65. Also for the Rider women, senior Alicia Price (Voorhees/Eastern) placed second in the shot put (13.34m), junior Chelsea Callan (Hazlet/Raritan) placed third in the mile (5:05.05), freshman Erin McMullin (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) placed fifth in the 200m (25.99), sophomore Heather Giovagnoli (Royersford, Pa./Spring Ford) placed fifth in the 800m (2:19.10), freshman Mia Riley (West Caldwell/James Caldwell) placed eighth in the 60m dash (8.00), freshman Ashley Hunter (Northampton, Pa.) placed 10th in the 400m (1:00.05) and freshman Lauren Findley (Hallstead, Pa./Blue Ridge) placed 10th in the 500m (1:20.55). For the Rider men junior Christian Gonzalez (Somerset/Franklin Twp.) placed second in the 3,000m (8:28.48), freshman Daequan Kim (Bordentown) placed third in the 200m (22.13), freshman David Hightower (Easton, Pa.)  placed third in the 60m hurdles (8.30), junior John Clark (Pennsville) placed fifth in the wt. throw (16.39m) and sophomore David South (Sergeantsville (Hunterdon Central) was ninth in the 800m (1:56.44).
