Wrestling
Six Broncs are competing at Nationals, senior 149 Michael Kessler (Randallstown, MD/Owings Mills), senior heavyweight Ed Bordas (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central), sophomore 133 Jimmy Kirchner (Somerville), junior 165 Rob Morrison (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff), freshman 174 Jim Resnick (Media, Pa./Penncrest) and sophomore 197 Tyler Smith ((Phillipsburg/Belvidere). At the CAA Championships senior 149 Michael Kessler (Randallstown, MD/Owings Mills) won his first CAA Title and senior heavyweight Ed Bordas (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central) won his third. Sophomore 133 Jimmy Kirchner (Somerville) finished third, junior 141 Matt Bradley (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) finished third, junior 165 Rob Morrison (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) placed third and freshman 174 Jim Resnick (Media, Pa./Penncrest) placed third.

Diving
Senior Amanda Burke (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) qualified for the NCAA championships for the third year in a row by placing second on the one-meter dive at the NCAA Zone 'A' qualifier. Burke placed runner-up out of 45 divers with a score of 619.15.  Senior Paul Apostolakis (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fort Hamilton) was second in the one-meter competition (649.55) at the NCAA Zone 'A' qualifier and advances to the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving championships.

Baseball
At Va. Tech junior Karl Johnston (Hamilton/Peddie) had two hits and three RBI, all in one inning. The Broncs scored nine runs on eight hits in the sixth inning to take a 9-3 lead. Johnston had three RBI on two singles in the inning. Other big hits in the inning were a two-run double by junior Mason Heyne (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock), an RBI double by senior Nick Wojnowski (Baldwin, Md./Calvert Hall), and RBI singles by junior A.J. Albee (Ashley, Pa./Hanover Area), freshman Adam Wayman (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) and senior Eric Woodrow (Hamilton/Hamilton West). Wayman had two of Rider's nine hits. Freshman Chris Taylor (Sterling, VA/Dominion) pitched into the sixth inning, allowing two earned runs for his first collegiate win. Wojnowski hit a solo home run, his third of the season, with two outs in the seventh inning to give Rider a 10-6 lead.

Softball
Junior Sam Bennett (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) threw a five-hit shutout with three strikeouts to beat Columbia. Sophomore Rachael Matreale (Williamstown) and Sam Pugh (Elkton, Md./Elkton) were honored Monday by the MAAC as Pitcher and Rookie of the Week. Marteale recorded seven strikeouts and allowed only three hits in the first win over Columbia.  Pugh lead Rider to two wins at the Rebel Spring Games, batting .429.  Pugh doubled against Columbia and hit her first collegiate home run, a walk-off solo shot to give the Broncs a 2-1 win. Pugh also had a hit and an RBI in a 5-4 win over Colgate.

Against Saint Peter's senior Ryan Thompson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) compiled 22 points, was 11 for 12 from the free throw line and added five rebounds, four assists and three steals in quarterfinals. Rider made 10 of 12 free throws in the final two minutes. Junior Mike Ringgold (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) finished with 15 points and five rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal. Sophomore Novar Gadson (Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram) finished with 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds and junior Justin Robinson (London, England/Blair Academy) had 15 points, four rebounds and two steals. Against Siena Thompson finished with 21 points and four rebounds in his final game as a Bronc. Ringgold finished with 20 points, 14 rebounds (tying a career high), four assists and four steals.

Senior Amanda Sepulveda (Perth Amboy/Hun) was a third team All-MAAC selection finished her career with 1,136 points and 278 assists, both 11th best all-time at Rider. Freshman Dior Brown (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) finished with a career-high 10 rebounds.

At IC4A junior Michael Soroko (Kinnelon) earned All-East honors with a win in the 3,000 meter (8:13.42), just the third Bronc to ever win an IC4A event. Junior Christian Gonzalez (Somerset/Franklin Twp.) was sixth in the mile to earn All-East honors.  Gonzalez set a Rider record in the mile trials with a time of 4:06.44.
