Baseball
Against Marist sophomore Brandon Cotten (Wiconisco, Pa./Williams Valley) collected seven hits, including his first collegiate home run, seven RBI and four runs scored in the doubleheader sweep and had two more hits and an RBI in the third game. Junior Mason Heyne (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) had four hits and three RBI in the doubleheader while scoring three runs. In the third game Rider scored five runs in the fifth inning on just two hits, including a grand slam by junior A.J. Albee (Ashley, Pa./Hanover Area), cutting the lead to 6-5. The home run was the seventh of the year for Albee, tied for team-high. At La Salle junior Steve Galella (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) hit an inside the park home run in the top of the 11th  inning to break a 9-9 tie. Galella had two hits and scored three runs in the game. Galella has 11 hits in his last 18 at bats to raise his batting average to a team-high .384.

Softball
At Fairfield sophomore Rachael Matreale (Williamstown) threw an eight-inning shutout, allowing just three hits while recording six strikeouts. Sophomore Lucy Higgins (Westminster, Mass./Notre Dame Academy) hit a one-out double in the top of the eighth inning and senior Ally Melia (Toms River/Toms River HS North) hit an RBI double to break the scoreless tie.  Junior Amanda Centeno (Ventura, Calif./Buena) followed with an infield hit to give the Broncs a 2-0 lead.  Centeno had two hits. In the second game Rider broke a 1-1 tie with four runs in the third inning on an error and three hits, including career hit number 100 for junior Brittany Eckett (Jackson/Jackson Memorial), a two-run single. Senior Candice Harris (Henderson, Nev./Coronado) hit her fifth home run of the season and a three-run double by sophomore Samantha Mayer (Neptune) put the game away.

Golf
At the MAAC Championships graduate student Eric LeFante (Colts Neck) earned All-MAAC honors after placing fifth out of 45 golfers, six shots out of the lead.  LeFante shot 73-76-77, junior Brent Wolgast (Bay City, Mich./Pendleton) had a final round 75 and a three-day total of 230, finishing 11th.  Sophomore Chris Wolak (Issaquah, Wash./Hopkinton) had a 75 on Sunday, for a 54-hole total of 231 to finish 13th.  Wolak shot 79 and 77 in his first two rounds and entered Sunday in 17th place.  Wolak had the second most pars in the tournament with 38.

At MAAC Championships junior Mallory Garbaravage (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands Regional) won five games at fourth singles and was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.

M. Tennis
At MAAC Championships junior Rob Olsen (Marlton/Cherokee) won in straight sets at sixth singles 6-2, 6-3. Seniors Alex D'Amico (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) and Marc Ashed (Vineland) earned MAAC All-Academic honors for compiling a grade point average over a 3.20.

Track & Field
Junior Christian Gonzalez (Somerset/Franklin Twp.) qualified for the NCAA regional with a third place finish in the 1500m at Swarthmore, recording a Rider record setting time of 3:42.95.  Gonzalez's time is the 26th fastest effort nationally this season and currently 11th best in the East Region. At the MAAC Championships senior Alicia Price (Voorhees/Eastern) won the hammer in a MAAC Championship record distance of 52.93m and won the shot put, was fifth in the discus and was named the Most Outstanding Performer. Christian Gonzalez won the 1500m and placed third in the 5,000m. Freshman Jammar Lim (Ewing) won the high jump and was sixth in the 200m. Freshman Ashley Hunter (Northampton, Pa.) won the 400m hurdles and was sixth in the 100m hurdles.
