and senior Mike Ringgold (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic), a Second
Team Preseason All-MAAC selection this year, compiled nine points and a
game-high 12 rebounds. Freshman Anthony Myles (Dover, DE/Poly-Tech), in
his sold out (1,650) Alumni Gym debut, compiled 16 points in 24 minutes
off the bench, making four of five three-point shots.

Sophomore Alyssa Parsons
(Ivyland, Pa./Archbishop Wood) scored eight of her 15 points in
overtime, five from the free throw line. Junior Sarah Homan (Upper
Darby, Pa./Delco Christian) led the Broncs with 20 points, going seven
for eight from the field and six for seven from the line. Homan also
pulled down eight rebounds and had two blocks in 25 minutes of play.

Alicia Govannicci (Springfield, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) scored with 3:01
remaining to give Rider the Northeast Conference Championship. Against
Quinnipiac senior Lindsay Rajeski (New Egypt) scored twice with junior
Virginia Egusquiza (Getxo, Spain) adding a goal and two assists in the
semifinal win.

Sophomores Abi Cottam
(Leominster, England/Ludlow) and Meghan Mohr (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem)
were named to the MAAC All-Tournament team. Against Loyola sophomore
Claire Thompson (East Greenwich, R.I./E. Greenwich) scored the only goal
of the game that qualified Rider for MAAC tournament. Win was
first-ever over Loyola.

goalkeeper Matt Perrella (North Brunswick, N.J./N. Brunswick) made five
saves. Against Iona senior Andrew Cotes (Selden, N.Y./Newfield) cut the
lead to 2-1 with two minutes left in the first half on an assist from
junior Sal Lubrano (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central), but that was as
close as the Broncs could get.

17 digs with sophomore Stephanie Nagy (Muscatine, Iowa/Muscatine) adding
10 kills. Nagy hit .333 in the match. Senior Katelyn Thompson (Tucson,
Ariz./Catalina Foothills) had 14 digs with senior Elyse Grassmuck (San
Antonio, Texas/La Vernia) adding 10 digs.

Christian Gonzalez (Somerset, NJ/Franklin Twp.) placed third, covering
the 8,000 meter course in 24:28.0. Gonzalez was the only non-Iona
College runner among the top six finishers. Senior Michael Soroko
(Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) placed 21st (26:11.6) and junior Michael Lindner (Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) was 22nd (26:12.8) among the 130 runners. Senior Chelsea Callan (Hazlet, NJ/Raritan) placed 24th among the 124 women, covering the 6,000 meter course in 22:56.4.

Against Lehigh senior Brianna Burns (Chestnut Ridge, N.Y./Spring Valley) won the 50 free (24.56), the 100 free (52.95), and the 200 free (1:54.78) and sophomore Johnny Funk (Las Vegas, Nev./Southeast Career & Tech. Acad.) won the 100 fly (51.84), the 100 back (51.74), and the 200 back (1:55.48). Freshman Melanie Leonhard (Piscataway) won the 500 free (5:08.62) and the 1000 free (10:30.01), sophomore Kelly O'Connor (Beverly, Mass./Beverly) won the 100 fly (59.86) and the 200 fly (2:09.20), senior Aisley Carter (Clarksburg, Md./Walter Johnson) won the one meter dive (217.64) and the three meter dive (213.82), and sophomore Addie Oswald (Henderson, Nev./Green Valley) won the 200 back (2:06.01). Junior Brendan Cavallaro (Middleboro, Mass./Middleboro) won the one meter dive (273.45) and the three meter dive (306.38) and sophomore Julien Hensen (Delafield, Wis./Kettle Moraine) won the 200 breast (2:12.13).
