Track & Field
At the Colonial Relays senior Michael Soroko (Kinnelon) finished second in the 3000m steeplechase (9:09.00) and senior Christian Gonzalez (Somerset/Franklin Twp.) placed second in the 1500m (3:47.86).  Both times are IC4A qualifiers. Sophomore David Hightower (Easton, Pa./Easton) finished second in the 110m hurdles (14.69), with an IC4A qualifying time, sophomore James Burroughs (West Orange) placed eighth in the 110m hurdles (15.21), sophomore Perry Asare (Lindenwood) finished eighth in the triple jump (13.88m) and freshman Matthew Millemann (Hillsborough) placed ninth in the 110m hurdles (15.34). At Monmouth Michael Soroko won the 1500m and David Hightower won the 110m hurdles (14.2) with an IC4A qualifying time and finished second in the 400m hurdles. Sophomore Mia Riley (West Caldwell/James Caldwell) won the 10om. Freshman Steven Brown (Penns Grove) placed second in the triple jump and third in the long jump, sophomore Jorge Merino (Old Bridge) finished third in the shot put and third in the discus, sophomore James Burroughs (West Orange) placed second in the 110m hurdles, and freshman Christopher McGovern (Old Bridge/St. John Vianney) placed third in the javelin.

Baseball
At NJIT freshman Kyle Kennett (Spring Lake, NJ/St. Rose) started and pitched five innings, allowing just two earned runs and no walks while striking out three to improve to 2-0. Senior Steve Galella (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) had three of Rider's 10 hits. Against Iona Steve Galella scored the winning run from second base on a wild pitch in the seventh inning to break a 6-6 tie in the third game. Galella and senior John Ralston (Annandale, Va./Paul VI) each had two of Rider's eight hits. Sophomore Chris Taylor (Sterling, VA/Dominion) pitched three innings of shutout relief for the victory, his third of the season. Sophomore Tyler Smith (Westmont/Haddon Twp.) pitched the final two scoreless, hitless innings for his fifth save of the season and the 14th of his career. Sophomore Adam Wayman (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) had six hits in the doubleheader split. Junior Brandon Cotten (Wiconisco, Pa./Williams Valley) and senior Mason Heyne (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) each had three hits in the game one win. At Seton Hall senior A.J. Albee (Ashley, Pa./Hanover Area) had two hits, scored a run, had an RBI and a stolen base.  Freshman outfielder Nick Crescenzo (Hammonton, NJ/Hammonton) had two hits, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. Against Niagara Crescenzo batted .643 with nine hits, six RBI and scored six runs, including five hits in the first game of the series. Senior Mike Thomas (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) struck out 11 batters in eight innings of work, allowing just one run on four hits and two walks. John Ralston batted .583 with seven hits (double) and seven RBI with a walk and a sacrifice fly, scoring three runs. In the field he had 15 assists and four put outs without an error at shortstop, turning five double plays.

Softball
Against Saint Peter's freshman Krysti Maronski (Woodbury Heights/GCIT) pitched a three-hit shutout with five strikeouts and no walks. Rider took a 3-0 lead on RBI singles by junior Samantha Mayer (Neptune) and freshman Lisa Blanton (Hilliard, Fla./Hilliard). Mayer hit an RBI double in the fifth inning, giving the Broncs a 4-0 lead.  Mayer finished with four hits on the day, including three hits in the second game. Freshman Ally Coryell (Ewing) had a two-run pinch-hit single in the seventh inning for the final score. Junior Lucy Higgins (Westminster, Mass./Notre Dame Academy) had the only Bronc hit against St. Joseph's. In the win at Penn senior Amanda Centeno (Ventura, Calif./Buena) had two hits including a double with senior Brittany Eckett (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) hit her first of two home runs on the day. Junior Rachael Matreale (Williamstown) threw a complete game with seven strikeouts. Against Army Krysti Maronski threw a complete game three-hitter, recording six strikeouts. The Broncs tied the game on an RBI double by senior Brittany Eckett (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) who hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning to give Rider a 2-1 lead. Lisa Blanton had two hits including a double and sophomore Alyssa Paul (Toms River/Toms River HS East) added a triple.

Golf
At Villanova senior Jordan Wycoff (Fort Washington, Pa./Saint Stephen's Episcopal) shot 157 (75-82) to finish 48th out of 105 golfers.  Wycoff had two of Rider's three birdies on Sunday. senior Brian Accorsini (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) scored 166 (78-87) to finish tied for 81st. At GW freshman James Buttermark (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell) had a three round total of 237 (79/81/77) to finish 25th out of 51 golfers.  Brian Accorsini shot a 240 (81/82/77) to finish 30th. Jordan Wycoff  placed 38th with a 241 (90/81/79).

Tennis
At Marist sophomore Marly Roche (Sussex/High Point Regional) won four games. Against Fordham the men's tennis team received wins from freshmen Rollie Malfitano (Wenonah/Gloucester Catholic) and Nick Lubold (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley). Malfitano won 1-6, 6-1, 6-0 at number one singles and Lubold won 6-2, 6-4 at number six singles. Against Lafayette the women's junior Danielle White (Reading, Pa./Reading) won at third singles.
