January is Youth Month in Rider University's Alumni Gym
LAWRENCEVILLE--The Rider University Department of Athletics has announced that all kids, 18 and under, can purchase $2.00 tickets to any men's and women's basketball game and wrestling meet in Alumni Gym on the Lawrenceville campus this January.
The men's basketball team has five games, January 6, 13, 20, 25 and 27 with the women's basketball team playing four times at home during the month of January, on the 4th, 10th, 24th and 31st.
The games on the 4th, 24th, 25th and 31st start at 7pm. The games on the 6th, 13th, and 20th are 2pm starts. The women's game on the 10th begins at noon as part of the "Kids Day Out" program done with local elementary schools. The men's game on the 27th has a 4pm tip time.
The wrestling team's only home event in January is the meet vs. Army on Wed., January 23 at 7pm. Kids 12 and under normally get $2 tickets, however, now that $2 ticket discount is extended to kids 18 and under as well as part of the Youth Month promotion.
Swimming and diving is also home during the month of January and takes on Loyola on Saturday, January 12 at 1pm in Coppola Pool in the Maurer Center. There is no admission charge for swimming and diving.
