Baseball
Against Niagara sophomore Nick Crescenzo (Hammonton, NJ/Hammonton) batted .571 with 8 hits and scored 4 runs in three games. In the scheduled seven inning contest, junior Adam Wayman (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) led off the 13th inning with a double, his third hit of the game, and scored the game winner. Junior Tyler Smith (Westmont/Haddon Twp.), a Preseason All-American who earned All-East honors last year as a closer, pitched seven innings of relief for the victory. In the third game freshman Mike Parsons (Liverpool, NY) hit a two-out RBI single in the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie. Against Seton Hall Rider took a 5-2 lead in the fifth inning when junior Ian Lindsay (Oaklyn/Haddon Twp.) doubled and scored on the first collegiate home run by freshman Justin Thomas (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South). Thomas and Lindsay each had two hits. Against George Mason senior Brandon Cotten (Wiconisco, Pa./Williams Valley) had two of Rider's six hits, had a stolen base and made a back-to-the-infield diving catch in centerfield.

Softball
At Columbia senior Rachael Matreale (Williamstown) threw a three hit shutout, recording four strikeouts for her eighth win of the season. Sophomore Ally Coryell (Ewing) hit an RBI single in the eighth inning for a 1-0 lead and sophomore Krysti Maronski (Woodbury Heights/Gloucester County Inst. of Technology) collected her first collegiate hit, a two-run single. In the win over Army freshman Allysen Breeden (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) had two hits. Ally Coryell tied the score with an RBI single. Senior Samantha Mayer (Neptune) hit an RBI single for the final score.

At Monmouth junior Drew Laverty (Mount Royal/Kingsway Regional) won four games at third singles before losing in straight sets. At Philly U. freshman Michelle Caravaglio (Manalapan/Freehold) took her second singles match to three sets before losing 10-4 in the tie-breaker.

At La Salle Invite freshman Cole Clark (Califon/Voorhees) finished 20th of 64 with a 163 (78/85). Clark finished fourth in par three scoring (4.83) and tied for the seventh most birdies with four. Bronc sophomore James Buttermark (Staten Island, N.Y/Monsignor Farrell) shot a 165 (78-87) and finished in a tie for 25th. Freshman Luke Liddell (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) finished in 36th place scoring a 169 (83-86).  Liddell shot 18 pars and finished in a tie for 11th most in the tournament. At the GW Invitational freshman Cole Clark (Califon/Voorhees) shot a final round 79 and finished at 224 after rounds of 71 and 74 on Friday.  Clark placed 19th out of 69 golfers. Sophomore James Buttermark (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell) finished in 33rd place (228) after a round of 75 on the final 18 holes.  Buttermark shot 76 and 77 in his opening two rounds on Friday and was fifth in par three scoring with a 3.08 average.
