Jason Thompson of the Sacramento Kings
will be at Rider University on Friday, July 13 at 11am  

Please join us on Friday in the Student Recreation Center, adjacent to Alumni Gymnasium as Rider University graduate and Mount Laurel, New Jersey native Jason Thompson '08 will make himself available to the media, following his participation at the Net Results Basketball Camp on the Lawrenceville campus.

Thompson agreed this past Sunday to a five-year contract reportedly worth 34 million dollars with the Sacramento Kings.

Thompson, and new Rider head basketball coach Kevin Baggett will be on hand to discuss the upcoming NBA and college basketball seasons.

The 2008 Haggerty Award winner as the Metropolitan Basketball Writers' Association Player of the Year, Thompson graduated with 2,040 points and 1,171 rebounds, one of just 96 Division I players ever to compile BOTH 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds and was the 12th pick in the NBA draft by the Kings in 2008.

Thompson is entering his fifth season with Sacramento and is averaging 10.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
