Field Hockey, Women's Soccer DH Sunday

LAWRENCEVILLE--The Rider field hockey and women's soccer teams will play a doubleheader Sunday on the Ben Cohen field.

The field hockey team will host NEC-foe Bryant and the women's soccer team will play its final home game of the season, hosting Niagara in a MAAC game at 3pm.

The Rider field hockey team will exchange its cranberry team color for pink, as the Broncs will be playing '4 the Cure' and helping to raise money for the Susan G. Kormen Breast Cancer Awareness.

Bryant (5-10, 2-1 NEC) is the most recent addition to the NEC, having moved up from Division II to Division I. Rider has won all four meetings with the Bryant Bulldogs, including a 6-0 victory last year in Rhode Island.

Niagara (8-7, 3-3 MAAC) has scored 26 goals this season, second most in the conference. The Purple Eagles were MAAC runner-up in 2009 and won the MAAC in 2006.

The Broncs lost 2-0 at Niagara last year despite the fact that Rider out-shot the Purple Eagles 21-9.

Rider and Niagara have met 15 times since the series began in 1997 with Rider winning five. The last time Niagara visited Rider the Broncs won 2-1 in 2010.

Prior to Sunday's 3pm kick off the women's soccer team will honor its graduating seniors at 2:45 so arrive early.
