Rider Completes Staff for 2013-14
Hamilton comes to Lawrenceville from Elmira College where she was an Assistant Basketball Coach for two seasons while earning her master’s degree in General Education.
"I am thrilled to announce the addition of Chloe to our staff,” said Milligan who is in her seventh season as Rider’s head coach. “Throughout the hiring process her passion and energy really shined through.”
Hamilton is a 2011 graduate of Butler University, earning a B.S. in Middle and Secondary Education with a concentration in Physical and Health Education.
"I am very excited for this opportunity,” said Hamilton. “It is a privilege and honor to be able to join an excellent staff. Having seen what Coach Milligan and her assistants have done over the past six years, I am looking forward to being a part of the continued success of the program.”
Hamilton was a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter for the Lady Bulldogs with the team compiling 83 wins and back to back WNIT berths her junior and senior seasons.
Hamilton entered her senior season averaging 4.3 point per game in her career and responded with a breakout season, scoring 14.2 points and pulling down 6.5 rebounds per contest in 34 games, making 33 starts while logging almost 31 minutes per game.
“Chloe has played at the highest level and is not afraid of hard work.” Milligan said. “She has the mentality to do whatever it takes for Rider to be successful. I expect her to make an immediate impact with our players and staff. We are excited to add her to our family.”
As a senior, Hamilton led the Horizon League and finished fourth in the nation with a .594 field goal percentage, earning Second Team All-League and co-team MVP honors and she earned all-tournament honors at WBCA Classic at Notre Dame.
