Alumni Gym Receives Another Upgrade
Rider’s Alumni Gymnasium to Receive LED Video Display
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Rider University’s Alumni Gymnasium will receive yet another upgrade this summer. This year a new indoor LED video display will be installed, helping Bronc fans enjoy the home volleyball and wrestling matches as well as the men’s and women’s basketball games.
The display is designed and manufactured by Daktronics of Brookings, S.D.
"We are very excited to be partnering with Daktronics on the new state-of-the-art video board for Alumni Gymnasium," said Rider Assistant Athletic Director Brian Keane. "We will be able to deliver the highest quality video content, in-game action, replays, statistics, animations and interactive promotions that will be sure to engage our alumni and fans. The Broncs' Zoo has always been a wonderful place to watch basketball, wrestling and volleyball and the video board will significantly enhance the game-day experience."
The display will measure approximately nine feet high by 16 feet wide and will feature 10 millimeter line spacing. It is capable of showing one large image to highlight live video and instant replays. It can also be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics, colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information and sponsor advertisements.
This display will incorporate excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility to provide a great view and experience for all Bronc fans.
In addition to the equipment installation, Rider will also receive a bank of hours for the creation of digital content to be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services. This content will consist of any mixture of sponsorship messages, crowd prompts, headshots, game opens and venue announcements.
"Daktronics is very proud to again be working with Rider on this great upgrade for Alumni Gym," said Scott Willson, Daktronics sales representative, "The new video board will absolutely amp up the in-game experience for the loyal Rider fans, sponsors and student athletes."
The installation will also include a campus-wide extended service package for all Daktronics equipment on site.
