Men’s Basketball Team to Host Free Clinic for Boys
LAWRENCEVILLE--The Rider men’s basketball team will conduct a free clinic for boys from kindergarten through 6th grade on Sunday, December 29 at 9 a.m. in the Student Recreation Center on campus (the building adjacent to Alumni Gym) prior to its game vs. Penn at noon that day.
The clinic will teach participants various basketball skills such as ball handling, shooting and defensive strategies.
The clinic will be conducted by the Rider men’s basketball coaching staff and all team members.
“Doing this clinic is a great way for our team members and staff to give back to the local community that does so much to support us throughout the season,” said head coach Kevin Baggett. “It provides our student-athletes with a chance to interact with the younger kids and teach them some of the skills they’ve acquired throughout their years of playing basketball and I hope a lot will take advantage of this opportunity.”
All clinic participants will receive free general admission tickets to the men’s game vs. Penn that day at noon. The game will be televised by The Comcast Network. Additionally, following the game, the men’s basketball team will be available with team posters to sign autographs for all fans in attendance.
Pre-registration for the clinic is preferred, however, walk-up registration will also be available that day.
