Men’s Basketball Team to Host Free Clinic for Boys & Girls
LAWRENCEVILLE--The Rider men’s basketball team will conduct a free clinic for boys and girls ages 12 and under Saturday, January 21 at 9:30 a.m. in Alumni Gym prior to its game vs. Marist at 7 p.m. that day. Clinic participants will also be able to stay and watch the team's gameday shoot-around at 11 a.m.
The clinic will teach participants various basketball skills such as ball handling, shooting and defensive strategies and will be conducted by the Rider men’s basketball coaching staff and all team members.
“Doing this clinic is a great way for our team members and staff to give back to the local community that does so much to support us throughout the season,” said head coach Kevin Baggett. “It provides our student-athletes with a chance to interact with the younger kids and teach them some of the skills they’ve acquired throughout their years of playing basketball and I hope a lot will take advantage of this opportunity.”
All clinic participants will receive a free general admission ticket to the men’s game vs. Marist that day at 7 p.m.. Following the game, the men’s basketball team will be available with team posters to sign autographs for all fans in attendance.
Pre-registration for the clinic is preferred, however, walk-up registration will also be available that day. To register, please call the Rider men’s basketball office at 609-896-5076 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
