Broncs on ESPNU January 24
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—The Rider University men’s basketball game at Manhattan College January 24 will be televised at 7pm on ESPNU, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
Rider has appeared on ESPN3, The Comcast Network, The BIG 10 Network, Fox Sports 1 and Time Warner Cable so far this year.
“We’re looking forward to playing Manhattan on national television,” said Rider head coach Kevin Baggett. “They are having a really good year and our players will be up for the challenge.”
The Broncs are currently 3-1 in MAAC play while Manhattan, the preseason favorite, is currently 4-0.
Last year when Rider played at Manhattan the Broncs won 66-63 on ESPN3.
Rider has won five of its last seven games and makes the annual trip to Western New York this weekend to play Canisius Friday and Niagara Sunday. The Broncs recently defeated Niagara 85-83 at Rider.
The Broncs are 2-3 in televised games so far this year, with five more regular season games yet to be broadcast.
This will be the 18th time in the last three seasons that Rider has played on the ESPN family of Networks.
ESPNU is available in 75 million homes in the United States. “This gives our families and friends around the country another chance to see how our program and our players are doing,” Baggett said.
