Broncs on ESPN3 Sunday

LYNCHBURG, VA—The Rider University baseball game against Liberty University Sunday (3pm) will be broadcast on ESPN3.

“This is great exposure for our team and for our league,” said Rider head coach Barry Davis, the 2013 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

The Broncs (2-4) take on Ball State (7-2) and host Liberty (5-5) this weekend. “Liberty is a top 30 team with a great venue, a great stadium, so it’s a great opportunity for our players.”

The ESPN3 game is the fourth of the four-game series for Rider.

ESPN3 is ESPN’s live multi-screen sports network, a 24/7 destination that delivers thousands of global sports events annually and accessible online via It is currently available to approximately 70 million homes at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.

The Rider men’s and women’s basketball teams have had six games on ESPN3 so far this year.

“We haven’t played in front of a national audience since 2008 so it is exciting for our program and we’re looking forward to it,” said Davis, whose Broncs played on ESPNU in the 2008 NCAA Regional at Cal State Fullerton.
