3 Broncs Honored by MAAC

Stewart Second Team, Myles Third Team, Taylor All-Rookie
EDISON, NJ—Three members of the Rider men’s basketball team were honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at the conclusion of the 2013-14 regular season.
Senior forward Daniel Stewart (Philadelphia, PA/Neumann-Goretti) was named to the Second Team All-MAAC, senior guard Anthony Myles (Dover, DE/Poly-Tech) was named to the Third Team All-MAAC and freshman Jimmie Taylor III (Branford, Fla./Suwannee) was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.
Taylor is now in the running for the MAAC Rookie of the Year Award, which will be announced Friday.
Stewart ranks 11th in the MAAC in scoring (15.0 ppg), 12th in rebounding (6.1) and second in free throw percentage (.852). Stewart ranks 13th in career scoring at Rider (1,399) and third in career rebounds (872).
Myles ranks ninth in the MAAC in scoring (16.4 ppg), 13th in three-point field goal percentage (.378), 14th in three-pointers made (1.9) and 14th in free throw percentage (.762). Myles ranks 16th in career scoring at Rider (1,386).
Taylor leads the MAAC in three-point field goal percentage (.483), is 12th in overall field goal percentage (.472), 15th in assists (2.4) and is 26th in scoring (12.0 ppg).
Rider is the eighth seed in the 11-team MAAC Championship tournament and plays the ninth seed, Monmouth, Thursday at 5pm in Springfield, Mass.
