Broncs Host Princeton Today

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—The Rider University baseball team will host Princeton University Wednesday at 3:30pm on the Sonny Pittaro Field.
Rider (11-23) has won two of its last three non-conference games.
Princeton (12-23) just split a four-game series with the University of Pennsylvania.
Today will be the 50th meeting between Rider and cross-town rival Princeton, with Rider holding a 27-22 advantage in the series that began in 1958. Rider has won the last three meetings.
Rider won 8-6 six miles up Route 206 at Princeton last year. The last time the Tigers came to Lawrenceville Rider won 10-9.
The Broncs have been led by junior third baseman Nick Richter. Richter (Fox River Grove, Ill./Cary-Grove) is batting .331 with 42 hits and a team-high 27 runs scored in 34 games. Richter is currently fourth in the nation with 26 stolen bases in 30 attempts.
Senior Nick Crescenzo (Hammonton, NJ/Hammonton), who recently became just the 12th Bronc to compile 200 career hits, is 15 of 17 on the base paths, 36th in the nation, and as a team Rider is currently 18th in the nation with 59 stolen bases in 34 games.
The Tigers are led by senior Alec Keller, who is batting .369 with 45 hits in 32 games. Keller plays second base some games and centerfield other games.
Rider returns to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action this weekend with a three-game home series against Manhattan, beginning with a doubleheader Saturday at 12 noon.
