Broncs Shoot 300 Tuesday at CT Cup

Rider 14th of 15 at Connecticut Cup
ELLINGTON, CT—The Rider golf team competed at the Connecticut Cup Monday and Tuesday.
On Tuesday at the Ellington Ridge Country Club, the Broncs shot 300, the 10th best score of the day, and finished 14th of 15 teams overall.
On Monday Rider had rounds of 311 and 324.
“We played better today,” said head coach Jason Barry. “I am happy with the way the guys rebounded.”
Boston College won the tournament with an 888. Rider finished with a 935.
For the Broncs, senior Aaron Simone (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) shot a 76 on Tuesday and finished with a three round total of 228 (73, 79 on Monday) to place 35th among the 90 golfers.
Sophomore Eder Moreno (Madrid, Spain) shot a 73 on Tuesday and placed 52nd with a three round total of 232 (76, 83 on Monday).
“Eder played an excellent round today despite an injured hand,” Barry said.
Senior Parker Mann (Blauvelt, NY/Tappen Zee) shot a 74 Tuesday and moved up 11 spots to place 63rd with a 235 (80, 81 on Monday).
The Broncs compete again October 21-22 at the Lehigh Open.
