Rider – Coppin State Cancelled For Saturday

BALTIMORE, MD- With the weather calling for wind gusts approaching 40 miles per hour with potential rain, the winner of today’s match between Rider and Coppin State was Mother Nature.

The Rider women (4-4) this fall season were led by freshman Cyd Melendez (Cayey, PR/Colegio La Merced), who won a team-high six singles matches, including her last three and six of her last seven, to end the autumn campaign, as well as freshman Amanda Binder (Princeton/West Windsor Plainsboro HS North) and junior Danielle Scrudato (Califon/Voorhees), who each won four singles matches, including their last two of the season.

The women’s team has their most wins entering the spring season since the fall 2006 campaign, when they opened 5-7.

The match with Coppin State will be rescheduled for the spring season.
