Foursomes Still Available in Rider Athletics Golf Gala

The 26th Annual Rider University Golf Gala is scheduled for September 13, 2010 at Old York CC at Chesterfield in Chesterfield, NJ for the ninth consecutive year. Individual golf spots and foursomes are still available and participants can choose between an 8:00 a.m. and a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. Afternoon spots are going quickly so interested parties should call Lynn Rugg at 609-895-5778 as soon as possible.

The $350 golf fee includes golf, Rider/adidas sportswear, breakfast, lunch, cocktails and dinner. The golf will be followed by the cocktail hour, dinner, awards ceremony, raffle prize giveaway, and the 11th annual silent auction. All proceeds benefit Rider's 20 Division I varsity programs.

The Rider Athletics Golf Gala originated in 1985 as a means to increase support for Rider athletics, its programs and, most of all, its student-athletes. Since the Gala's inception, many improvements have been made in the areas of information technology, facilities, equipment, team travel, uniforms, team rooms and more.
