Broncs Wrestle for Frey Foundation

BETHLEHEM, PA-Four members of the Rider wrestling program took part in the Adam Frey Classic recently, hosted by Lehigh University.

The Adam Frey Classic is an annual event held in the memory of Adam Frey that pits college and post-graduate wrestling all-stars up against each other in a dual meet format.

Chuck Zeisloft '14, Vinny Fava '15 and Jim Resnick '13 all won their matches, while new assistant coach Nic Bedelyon, representing his alma mater, Kent State, also competed.

Zeisloft (Woodbury Heights, N.J./Gateway) defeated Billy Waterson of Brown 5-2, Fava (Elmwood Park, N.J./Elmwood Park) defeated Tyler Small of Kent State 4-3 and Resnick (Media, Pa./Penncrest) defeated Nathaniel Brown of Lehigh 4-2.

All of the proceeds benefit the Adam Frey Foundation, an organization established by Frey to provide for the needs of cancer patients beyond research or medical care.  

Rider hosted the second annual Adam Frey Classic in 2010.
