Rider's Riley Honored by MAAC
LAWRENCEVILLE-Mia Riley of the Rider University women's track & field team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Performer of the Week for all competition March 27-April 2.
Riley, a junior from West Caldwell, N.J. (James Caldwell) won the 100m (12.12) and the 200m (25.55) at the Lafayette 7-Way Meet on Sunday.
"Mia has done an outstanding job of being very consistent in her performances," said Rider head coach Bob Hamer. "She is always ready to compete at her best and the results this year are indicative of that. She is very deserving of this honor."
Her time in the 100 was the fastest in the MAAC so far this year.
Riley won the 100m (12.04) at the MAAC Championships last spring and placed fifth in the 200m (25.15).
The Broncs compete at the Colonial Relays April 6-7 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
