Jennifer Meier begins her second season as an assistant coach on the Rider staff. Meier is a 2014 graduate of Rider, where she played in 69 career games and graduated third in career goals (27), fourth in career points (67) and sixth in career assists (13). As a junior Meier was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) Third Team Scholar All-America Team, and received Honorable Mention as a senior. She was a First Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference selection as a junior and was honored by the NSCAA as a Third Team All-Northeast Region selection. As a senior she was named Second Team All-MAAC. In her four seasons Rider had a combined record of 37-26-10. Meier came to Rider from St. Anthony’s High School, where she earned All-New York State honors, leading St. Anthony’s to the State Championship. As a freshman at Rider she was named to the MAAC All-Rookie team, finishing second on the team in goals, assists and points. As a sophomore she started 16 games and finished sixth in the MAAC in goals and seventh in the MAAC in points. In her first season as an assistant coach the Broncs won the MAAC Championship and advanced to the NCAA tournament.
At St. Anthony's High School:
Earned All-State honors...led St. Anthony's to the 2008 NSCHSAA state championship...led her team in goals... named as a 2009 ESPN Rise Player to Watch... a four-time member of the New York Olympic Development Program (ODP)... led the Region 1 premier team, Stonybrook Arsenal, to the 2007, 2008 and 2009 New York State Cup Final.
