LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Senior women’s basketball forward Julia Duggan (Marmora, NJ/Ocean City) and junior men’s swimmer Zack Molloy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) have been selected the Rider University Athletes of the Month for February. Duggan led the Broncs to a 7-1 record in the month, clinching the No. 2 seed in the MAAC Championships, while Molloy was the Swimmer of the Championship at the MAAC Championships for the second-straight year in helping Rider to its sixth-straight MAAC Swimming & Diving Championship.

Duggan averaged over 12 points and 10 rebounds per game as Rider went 7-1 down the stretch to finish second in the conference heading into the MAAC Tournament. She posted five double-doubles during the month and entered the postseason tied for tops in the conference with 10 double-doubles. In a win against Monmouth, she grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds. The Broncs reentered the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 rankings at No. 24 during the month and later moved up to No. 23. The Broncs ran their winning streak to nine-straight games, which was one shy of the Rider record of 10 wins in a row set during the 1981-82 season. Duggan ended the month with 934 points and 786 rebounds for her career.

Molloy won his three individual events at the conference championship meet as well as three relays. He won the 50 free with a lifetime-best swim and also won the 100 free with a lifetime-best swim, breaking the conference and Rider records in that event as well as making an NCAA B cut. He won the 200 free with a lifetime-best swim, breaking the conference and Rider record in that event as well as making an NCAA B cut. He was also a part of three winning relays - the 200 free relay, the 800 free relay and the 400 free relay, all in new conference and Rider record times. Molloy has also qualified for the highest level of national competition, including the World Championship Trials this summer. He has also qualified for the U.S. Open and Winter Nationals.
