2018-19:
- Tied for the team lead with five singles victories, including three out of the No. 2 flight in dual matches
- Also won three doubles matches – two with Ryan Ciaccio and one with Nicholas Salazar
- Took a three-set MAAC victory over Niagara’s Darrel Harxhi (April 19)
- Won at both singles and doubles in Rider’s match victories over Drew (Sept. 29) and St. Francis Brooklyn (Oct. 12)
2017-18:
- Won a pair of No. 2 singles matches against competition from St. Francis Brooklyn and Wagner
- Also paired with Lysander Payano Almonte on a doubles victory over competition from Lafayette

TennisRecruiting.net ranked him a two-star recruit… Ranked No. 8 in the USTA Rankings for Puerto Rico… Represented Puerto Rico in the 2016 JITIC of ITF in the Dominican Republic… Played in the Caribbean Zone Team Championship, representing the best five players in each section.

Born in Puerto Rico... The son of Javier Melendez Rivera... Sister, Cyd, plays on the Rider women's tennis team... Also has another sister, Vannelie Ann Melendez Munoz.
